Valdboka is a day book for a moose-hunting team (jaktlag) that works entirely offline. All information you enter — hunter names, hunting posts, permit numbers, sett elg counts, felled-animal records, photos and notes — is written to a file in the app's own storage area on your device and to iOS's standard app preferences store. None of it is transmitted anywhere. Uninstalling the app removes this data permanently, along with any photos you attached.
Valdboka asks for camera access so you can photograph a felled moose, its jaw tag, or a hunting post and keep that picture attached to the record you are editing. It asks for photo library access so you can attach a picture you already have instead of taking a new one. Photos you choose or capture are copied into the app's own local storage; the app does not scan, upload or otherwise access your photo library beyond the single picture you pick.
If you turn on the evening reminder in Settings, Valdboka schedules local notifications on your device — generated entirely on-device from the season dates you enter — to prompt you to record the day's numbers. These notifications are not sent from a server, and turning the reminder off cancels them.

Valdboka contains no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking software development kits of any kind.
Two screens open official pages — Hjorteviltregisteret's reporting site and Miljødirektoratet's page about hunting seasons — inside the app itself, so you never have to leave it to reach them. Loading either page follows the normal behaviour of any web browser: your device makes a direct request to that site to display it, the same as it would in Safari. Valdboka does not track which pages you view there, does not inject any scripts, and does not read or alter anything sent between your device and those sites. Once you leave that screen, nothing about the visit is recorded by Valdboka. Those two organisations' own privacy practices, not Valdboka's, govern what happens on their pages.
Valdboka is a professional tool for the organisers and members of a legal moose-hunting team and is not directed at children. It does not knowingly collect information from anyone, of any age, because it does not collect information at all.
If Valdboka's data practices ever change, this page will be updated and the "last updated" date above will change accordingly. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the revised policy.
